Accessibility
The Living Rainforest is fully wheelchair accessible. The centre is family and baby friendly, with nappy-changing facilities available.
Assistance dogs are allowed in the cafe and shop on a lead, however, dogs are not allowed in the greenhouses, children’s play area and picnic area. -

The Living Rainforest
Get close to hundreds of species of rainforest inhabitants without leaving the UK. The Living Rainforest is operated and run by the Trust for Sustainable Living, which aims to delight and challenge, building on the incredible biological and cultural diversity of planet Earth.
The Living Rainforest offers a unique educational visit for people of all ages to learn how the future of tropical rainforests and other ecosytems is closely connected to human lives and lifestyles.
Attractions
The Living Rainforest is home to 700 species of plants and animals, and marked trails allow visitors to get close to the inhabitants of the rainforest.
See and enjoy Amazon water lily leaves, reaching up to 2.6m wide, floating on ponds, or be fascinated by the West African dwarf crocodile called Courtney - Courtney loves basking on her island, waiting for unsuspecting visitors!
Or watch Goeldi’s monkeys leap from branch to branch and look out for free roaming lizards, birds and butterflies – you never know where they will appear next. In short, visiting the Living Rainforest is a great way of combining fun with learning more about far-away habitats!
Recreation
There is a shop with rainforest-themed gifts, educational toys and games as well as a cafe serving a range of snacks and drinks.
There's also an outside children’s play and picnic area with a jungle feel.
