LEGOLAND
There are probably few people who have not heard of, or played with Lego, and to anyone who has, the name says it all: this theme park is all about Lego, mainly for children from 2 to 13, but also a great place for Lego fans of all ages.
The park is open from April through to early November (please see their website for details).
Attractions
Legoland is grouped into several themed areas, such as Adventure Land, the Kingdom Of The Pharaohs or Pirates Landing, each with their own attractions.
The park offers numerous indoor and outdoor rides, fun activities such as driving Lego cars in the Lego Driving School.
There's also a charming area called Miniland, where nearly 40 million pieces have been used to recreate scenes from the USA and Europe.
Recreation
The park has several family restaurants, offering meals ranging from all-you-can-eat pasta to Baby Back Ribs or Piri Chicken Burgers.
For those not wanting a long sit-down meal, there are the quick bite restaurants such as the Fried Chicken Express or Mexican Cantina. And for anyone in a real hurry, or not wanting to sit down at all, a snack from one of the Grab & Go stalls may be the right choice.
To round it all off, or as an in-between refreshment, ice creams and fresh doughnuts are available at the various ice cream parlours.
