Beale Park: from pets to meerkats

Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens provides a great day out for young and old with adventure, fun, animals, gardens, and activities on the banks of the picturesque River Thames.

The park is home to a diverse collection of animals, including meerkats, wallabies, raccoons, prairie dogs, monkeys, goats and numerous small mammals in the Pet's Corner.

Beale Park is open for most of the year (approx. middle of February through to early November). During the season the park isopen7 days aweek. Low season discounts are available. Please visit the Beale Park website for details on opening times and prices.

Attractions

Beale Park contains a mixture of attractions to meet everyone’s taste. Gardens, sculptures and trials give you the chance to explore different types of garden environments housing many fine trees and sculptures.

The deer park, pet’s area and narrow gauge diesel railway are great for all the family whilst the Little Tikes Village and indoor play area provide play houses, a sandpit and many other activities for the little ones. There's a picnic area for all the family, and a museum for model boats is located in the pavilion.

Fishing with a permit is allowed at certain times of the year.

Recreation

The Peacock Restaurant provides meals, afternoon teas and snacks throughout the day as well as a pre-ordered picnic service.

    By Car
    From the M4 leave at junction 12 and take the A4 in the direction of Newbury. At the second roundabout take the 3rd exit, the A340. Follow this road to Pangbourne (approximately 4 miles) and take the A329 in the direction of Streatley. Beale Park is located about 1.5 miles on the right hand side.
